I picked and tried my first scarlet queen and Japanese turnips yesterday. Chopped up In a salad with some fresh strawberries and SSE mixed greens. It was awesome!
When eating raw, the Japanese turnip had less spiciness and the flavor was smother than the scarlet; both were equally good once in a salad with some balsamic and cranberries.
