Thanks LuigiWu. That's a great idea. Run rain gutter for water at the bottom and use "off the shelf" plastic windowboxes on top. I can live with the look of that without further dressing those up. (And I already have 4 of those plastic window boxes) You have probably read about raybo's earthtainer. That is what I have been using and because of it, my gardening has been amazing success (compared to what other gardeners around me do, not compared to TVille stalwarts)
