Yep, the hornworms hit me last week. Hours and hours starring at tomato plants, found 5 including one as big as my thumb. Rush over and load the sprayer with BT, and commence spraying 40+ plants down. There are two things I truly despise in my garden, hormworms and SVB. A few years ago we went on vacation and when we got back I walked out into the garden and cried. My tomato plants looked like someone took a shredder to them. I picked over 50 hornworms off 12 tomato plants.
I try to stay away from as much chemicals as possible in my garden, But with hornworms and SVB it's personal. I'll nuke them if I have to.
