No doubt the Oxi-clean method is the way to go. Quick, no mess, and stink free (spouse friendly ). I use the Oxi-Clean "free" which doesn't have any scents or anything else weird in it. I also think the bit of chlorine it has in it helps kill seed-surface pathogens (good if you're trading seeds). I've found the key is to use about 1/2 cup of hot (115 degree) water in the cup with your seeds and 2/3 tbsp of Oxi-clean. Stir till dissolved, let sit 45 minutes, pour in fine strainer, rinse WELL, dry on paper plates. I've consistently had germination well north of 90% with that method.
