My favorite climbing rose is 'New Dawn'. Bought a plant at Wal-Mart around 2006 and it is tough, to say the least. Disease resistant and smells great!

Check out Lady Banks Rose, it is almost thornless and beautiful. My aunt had one on a chain link fence and when it bloomed...wow!
