Beans, potatoes, cabbage, and peas.
Cornbread, sausage, fish, and cheese.
Ham and eggs, soups and steaks.
Wienies, oysters, and salmon cakes.
My granddaddy and I used to play a game of what's for supper. I would ask the question and he would reply the above. Then we had a big hug. Every Easter, I always remember that this celebration is really about family values and memories.
So, in this family, today is about being together and the menu really doesn't matter all that much.
