Me personally I don't mind F2's or any other F's. My thinking is they need to be grown out. Who knows the next best tomato everybody should have may be in those f2's and up.
I wouldn't have found my second favorite tomato of the season if not for an F something or other. Heck, besides the Ambrosia Blue producing three types of tomatoes, I had a chocolate pear that had commercial company name with it and got three sizes of tomatoes and one a different color. Great way to start learning about genetics all these surprises. : )
