Doing some research for another thread here, I learned that there are some seventy (70) varieties of pepper indigenous to Thailand. Thus "Thai Chili" is practically meaningless. I'm not sure that "Thai Ornamental" is any better. Neither is the real name.
Now, IMO, that doesn't look like an ornamental pepper. But who knows what the original namer/labeler intended?
