Thanks, Andrey! Yes, I certainly won't be eating anything that has a bad reputation.

These Paxillus are really common this year, we saw them on a forage through the woods as well. Laziness on my part, to guess Lactarius without a spore print or anything! Only for things I won't eat, that's for sure.
There are quite a few kinds of edible mushrooms that we don't bother with at all... but you never know, you can't assume a time won't come that you might be hungry enough to eat less appealing things. So it's worthwhile knowing all the mushrooms that come around, good or bad.
