Many ACE Hardware stores carry Coleman fuel, or the Crown equivalent, I have 13 stoves (singles and multiple burner ones as well as 50+ lanterns. I ALWAYS use the Coleman fuel or Crown. Regular unleaded gas (known as "RUG" to lantern & stove collectors) will gum up the little generator and not burn correctly.
Have fun with it. A gallon of the correct fuel will last you a L O N G time - much more than those propane bottles.
