I am never successful at growing squash. I have a small, very shaded garden with sandy soil. My squash plants don't get enough room, enough sun, enough water.
But this year I had one squash plant that produced 3 gorgeous, large fruits (comparison : an easy squash as red kuri usually makes 1 or 2 small fruits).
Happy about its production. I haven't tasted it yet. My enthusiasm is enterily based on production :-)
I got the seeds in the swap of last year and they were labeled as “Thelma Sanders' Sweet Potato Squash". They don't look like this squash. So maybe I mixed up my seeds/plants. I also grew Gold Nugget squash from the same swap. But my squash don't look like this squash either.
To me it is not a “Thelma Sanders' Sweet Potato Squash, nor a Gold Nugget. Is it something else? Or is it simply a crossed seed? Did somebody else grew one of these varieties from the mmmm seed swap? Were they true?
