Jerry, the homemade earthbox directions call for 1/4" drill bit and a 1 1/2" drill bit. I've got a 1/4", but not a 1 1/2". It also calls for a jigsaw or small handsaw. Of course, using a jgsaw and electric drill assumes there's electricity available, either actually at the shelter or from someone's car parked nearby that has an electrical outlet. I do have a cordless drill, though.
