I miss duck hunting, it's been a few years since I went. We would always blast and cast because usually by 8AM you had a limit then we'd fish since we were in the boat. Rice field hunting was easier in the afternoon, the ducks would come in right before dark to roost.
I made a trip to Crowley La this morning to set up for the
Rice Festival. I took some back roads home and snapped a few bad pics of the fields getting flooded for crawfish season. I only saw one field completely drained, the rest still had the rice stalks after a harvest for the crawfish to eat. I also came across an old cemetery in the middle of all those rice fields(
Ebenezer United Methodist Church) with flags on some graves.
