I like it too and I grow it every few years. It does have a fruity flavor to it with nice sweetness. Lovely flowers too! Hate the spines though, they sure are prickly.
You should start the seeds way before tomatoes because they take long to germinate. Ore use the wet kitchen towel trick. That works mighty fine.
