I think MR and the other Garden Gem parent are quite different.
The skin on Talvez is not thin, and not thick. It is pretty average. Maybe a bit thicker than average. The upside of that is that there is very little cracking and splitting.

BTW - I had a great Maglia Rosa crop and picked at pink - plants are finishing up since it was determinate. Also grew Garden Gem (first time since year it was introduced) - they were nothing alike.
