I have a drill press a small homemade hydraulic press and a table saw no need to put something dangerous on the lathe.
The switch is where you see it in reach.
All non painted parts are kept wiped in mineral oil also known as hydraulic fluid.
When I broke in the other lathe I saved the oil for this.
