I have a fond memory of squid that rolled bountifully on the beach when we were camping up north one time. We boiled them in a big iron pot right there on the beach. Delicious!
My Dad liked to pre-cook a big batch of squid in a pressure cooker, then separate into rings for further cooking (also freezing for later). Made amazing stir fries with those, and very tender and tasty.
