I love JD's some years and others it is a disappointment. It seems to change size, taste and production depending on the weather and it is also one of the most susceptible balck tomatoes to gray mold. Some years it produces the tastiest black tomatoes that are large and juicy and other years it will make lots of smaller fruit. I have been growing it for a long time and it gets set out every year and is one of my favorites despite my never being sure how it will perform from year to year.
