My family were commercial flower growers from the early 1910's in California. Everything from carnations to roses. I grew up around flowers and seeing all of the different types and colors, the scent of the flower cooler and flower market in the mornings, walking the greenhouses with my dad, all good memories. We grew mostly, as I remember it, JP roses, like Forever Yours, Tropicana, Peace, and a yellow one I don't remember.
Professionally, i also have had the opportunity to design several formal rose gardens, what a blast they are. So many types and forms. Strangely I don;t grow any in my yard. My sister has several antique varieties and a native Rewood Rose from the PNW.
