I never did the bacon slicer but I used to work for a company in the late 70's that made commercial bologna slicers.I had to climb a ladder to work on it.The thing was huge.
Precise 1lb stacks of meat from the tapered hunks of bologna in the pre-computer days.
The meat was cut frozen.
