Soy beans 500 ml dry were turned into perfect Tempeh. The beans form 1000 ml of processed tempeh, by swelling up during processing. The Indonesian starter appear to be on steroids, since it works so well. Pictures depict the process after the soy beans are de-hulled, split, and cooked.
