I've got them pretty bad and have for years now. A bad combination of grapes and hop vines has them livin in style.
One idea I heard years ago that I haven't tried yet is to get a flat board like some plywood, coat it with some oil (like used motor oil for instance), hold it up close to the vine and shake it. The hoppers jump out like they do and get stuck on the oil...game over. Seems like it would work.
