This morning I started 'Conover's Colossal' asparagus seed from Baker Creek. It's an oldie from the 1800's and is supposed to produce big spears. I guess I'll find out in three years.
Last time I did this it took ten days for germination. That was a different variety but it should be about the same now. There are 24 started and they should be ready to plant out in about two months.
