I totally agree I can't take the heat here either. Its much hotter here than back in NY and I hear from people that grew up here its been miserable compared to 30 years ago.
I've been to Florida in the summer and it was no hotter than it was back home.
Some people do adapt though. A friend that grew up here moved to Houston and loves it. She says everything is air conditioned and she just enjoys living there and is not inconvenienced by the heat. I would be in tears.
