We planted some bean swap blue lake last year and they really came on late in the season. They just took over the back side of the trellis late in the year, grew against the arbor vitae row, and many were higher than I could pick without a ladder. I kept about 3/4 c of black bean seed from them for this year. That was from 10 beans planted mid June. I will definitely plant them again. Fortex, monte gusto, carminat, blue lake, and emerite filets are definitely going in the garden again.
