I wish I could advise you better, but be careful of the babies breath. I don't know the variety but I planted a perennial babies breath years ago and it smelled so bad I couldn't stand it in the house. I was growing lots roses at the time and wanted it for bouquets in the house. You might try an annual and a perennial variety and see what works, but if you are going to rely heavily on having it, try more than one variety so you don't end up with something you can't use.
