the Merinda tomatoes are sometimes sold in high-end groceries (Karstadt Perfetto, Dallmayr in Munich) and at outrageous prices. Once (and only once) even my local (Turkish) weekly market vendor had them and sold them as "green tomatoes". I've never seen them in the more pedestrian shops.
Buying online is the best bet for me - especially as I'm really craving good tomatoes in springtime.
