I used to go the murder route - cut with scissors
, but now I just re-locate them with lots of pruned tomato leaves to snack on - I actually get bummed if I see one that has encountered a parasitic wasp.
I think my softer approach is because last season they did not show up until late summer, I will probably abandon my kumbayah stance if they mow down any of my seedlings.
