I dug up 14 different pepper plants this year and put them in 5 gal containers. I pruned them down to 3 or 4 stems each with no leaves. They are in my garage with very little light and cold down into the 30's F. Their stems are all still green so far. I'm going to put some incandescent spotlights on them when it gets really cold. I'm keeping a Boston Fern, a couple of geraniums and Gerber daisies with them. I hope to have a pepper forest next year.
