I just bought couple bags of compost manure and 2 bags of pine bark mulch. @ $2.90 / 2 c-ft was ok. I use them to make potting mix and as amendment in garden. In my sandy soil the can retain moisture better. The rest of stuff was mostly name brand potting mixes at regular price.
Lowes garden center was boring as usual.

My Walmart doesn't have anything in the garden center yet except a small seed display. I see some bags of mulch and garden soil 30 feet up top of steel shelves. They are starting to stock up.
