Rajun, it's usually different Food Saver models that are on sale. The motor burns up. It gets too hot. It depends on what we've bought/what we're "preserving" on how many times a wk we use it. We typically go through 3-4 each year. I'd love to have 1 that would last for at least a year and it would be awesome if it lasted multiple years!
