i've used peat pot in the past and had no problem with them, the roots will eventually grow thru. them, (they won't dissapear) and when you repot them i plant them as deep as possible, what ever part of the stem is buried will sprout out new roots, also had roots grow up over the top of the peat pot and then start growing down like normal after repotting.
