Yes it is hot! I've been digging a new bed around those trellises and although I love broadforking, it doesn't get finished quickly in this heat and humidity. We don't have a tiller, just use that Broadfork and a shovel, pick, and rake.

A little off topic, but the good part of that is that most of what's done is planted in our very first sweet potatoes (planted late, in mid July) and they look great! I've seen fields from the road of course but i had no idea of the many varieties and their beauty. We got 6 varieties from Sand Hill end of season sale plus set out a few Garnett slips from a store bought one. Very exciting
