So sad, but I've been stepping out, too, from time to time during the past couple years for this very reason. Takes the fun out of this big time.

Yes, thanks, Tom- my tomatoes seem to be really happy so far but my onions appear to have that curly, floppy fungal/onion thrips thing going on again this year. I'm seriously considering cutting way back on the kinds of veggies I grow next year.
