What varies more: productivity or taste?
Already thinking about next year, which has me wondering...
Assuming same seeds, same garden, same gardener. Obviously weather varies from year to year. Which outcome characteristic varies more from year to year: productivity or taste? does it vary for cherries vs beefsteaks? (if you have comments on other outcomes like disease resist or texture, Im all ears) |

I suspect that it will depend on the variety and not just on whether it's a cherry or not.

I find in my area, and mainly due to weather that productivity would be the factor that varies the most. For my garden, flavor differences would be subtle if any but Temperature/weather can affect bloom and fruit set dramatically from one season to the next.

Both will vary not only from year to year but during the same year.
My late tomatoes taste nothing like my early ones. Worth |
