Linda, how can you be so mean! It would be like if I told everyone the high here today was 79 and the low tonight will be a chilly 55.

Exactly! Low 80s here. But I think my low is in the 40s. I may need to put on socks.

It's so cold, my Siberian Husky was like "Let me in! It's cold out here!"

Linda, Scott, You won’t believe what you are missing out on here in Wisconsin. It’s really cool.

I do like winter, it is the length that gets on me. I won't complain about these cold nights as much as I don't like them, I really don't have anything to do outside so I'm indifferent aside from the heating bill. And I refrain from complaining now because I keep my complaining for wasted summer days, which I mean 90s and very humid, because summer days I like to be out in the garden, but sweating in the heat and humidity when doing something that isn't exerting like picking tomatoes or watering the garden is not pleasant.

It's finally going to cool off for us, into the 50s overnight, but it will get mild by late afternoon. It has been really warm, and I can't even begin to keep up with all the tomatoes getting ripe. Making sauce, canning it, salsa, caprese salads every day, gave away over 25 lbs yesterday, and more ripen every day. I made ketchup today, great recipe using blond raisins for most of the sweetness. I might just be getting sick of tomatoes! If it cooled down, maybe they will ripen a little more slowly.
Thank you for the map Dutch. I guess it could be worse.

I think the map is for tomorrow night's lows that started appearing after midnight (00:15 hours right now)appears now, because it says Friday on it, and the temperatures are a bit too mild for what is happening here.

The real problem tonight not reflected in the temperatures is that tonight is going to have a large wind chill and heavy gusts most everywhere east of the continental divide, and especially in TX, OK, MO, AR and the whole Northeast.

Going to be hard to cover the maters in tonight's freeze, this might be the end of the line here.

I live on the southern part of the pink area in MN. It's been quite cold and windy here for a few days now. Actually compared to last winter, this one hasn't been too bad so far. We could use some more snow cover here for the trees and perennials, though.
