Default Tom Wagners new site

While checking for Newworld, I noticed Tom Wagner Seeds, is this his new site?

Tom has been hinting for the past few days at having two seed outlets this year, given how much his name and picture/videos is on the site I would hope that's the one he's talking about.

It appears to be registered to someone in Hawaii, and I know he had a grower out there who really liked his work. I assume he registered the domain and came to Tom about a partnership. At least I'm hoping it's legit because they've used several of my pictures and Tom and Tania are the only people I've OK'd using mine.

I've been talking to Rob almost daily about the newworldcrops.com store that he's been working on, it seems strange that he wouldn't have mentioned the partner site going live first. It also has a lot of inventory that the newworldcrops.com store doesn't have, at least currently.

The newworldcrops.com site is hopefully going to open the store today.

It's legit, here is the message I got back from Tom.

---
Yes, Mark, I will have two outlets for my seed. I was waiting to announce both sites open at the same time, however the New World Seeds & Tubers needed a day or two longer to revamp.

My associate in Hawaii is a grower/manager/ and is growing many of my varieties. He has tomatoes ripe right now and will have more coming along in the next few weeks and months to come...

The store at www.newworldcrops.com is open as well now. They have different inventories, so you may have to place two orders to get your goodies.

So Tom wasn't satisfied with having bred more tomatoes than anyone else, and he now needs to have more websites than anyone else?

It looks like neither site has SSL encryption??? Anyone else seeing this?
Is this not a problem transmitting credit card info?

Since Tom Wagner is a forum moderator here, let's give him a chance to reply.

As I understand it, the site needs some finishing touches to be done, so perhaps going "live" ahead of completion to receive orders was an error.

Sound advice Mischka, I did email them, just I'm being impatient, I like Tom's tomato varieties very much and I just didn't want to miss out.

My two websites will be working as soon as all the bugs are worked out.

I know diddlysquat about web sites but maybe it will get my brand out there.

My hope is to continue what I started last fall....start a program of constant sowing and harvesting of tomatoes every week of the year. It will take years to grow out all of my varieties even sowing a hundred varieties a week in Hawaii. As new segregations take on names....I will have to sow thousands of selections every so often.

The growing pains of these websites will level off soon, I hope, and look more professional.

Roger on no SSL encryption. I was getting ready to put my VISA card number on my order from
Tom's new site and noticed no encryption so backed out and will wait for him to get the problem fixed. To bad he doesn't have PayPal then it would not be a player.

www.newworldcrops.com is up and running with SSL encryption, I notice a couple of tomato varieties have sold out.

The other site with Tom's seeds http://www.tomwagnerseeds.com/ is just waiting for SSL certificate to come through for secure ordering online.

Loving the new varieties
