Is anyone familiar with this company that is located in Spring Grove, PA?
http://www.americanseedco.com/mp_includes/body.asp I was looking at seed potatoes, and most companies sell 10 lb. of seed potato for around $17 - $19 (price varies depending on variety). American Seed Company has several varieties of seed potato listed for $4.60 - $7 per 10 lb. This is quite a difference in price, but I don't know how reliable this company might be. I checked Dave's Garden review, and most of the comments were about seed packets purchased at Dollar General (which isn't related to this company). |

I would say their prices are way too high. Check out one of your local co-op's. Last year, I got seed potatoes for 25 cents a pound at the local co-op here. In fact, for the months of March thru July, I bought additional bags for table use. 25 cents a pound for potatoes is cheap and most of the potatoes purchased were not showing enlarged "eyes".
Anyhow, they made very good fries, mashed, and "tater salad".
