Default This is what its all about!

I took the time to enjoy the fruits of my labor. Homemade bread, homemade potato chips, fresh garden tomatoes = one awesome BLT!!!

Scrumptious looking for sure. I haven't seen bread look that good in years and years. What's your secret? I got a tub of ice cold butter that would taste real good on that bread about now. Wanna share? : )

You sure hauled in the tomatoes too. Looks like you had a good year so far.

The tomatoes are Big Beef, Celebrity and Better Boy.

Luigiwu how's the RGGS doing for you this year?

As far as the bread goes I've been making it for years, it never fails me.

How are you making the potato chips, with a mandolin?

I need to know.

Hello Worth.....yes with a mandolin on its thinnest setting. I don't even peel the potato just slice and drop into 350 degree oil until golden brown. Salt or season as soon as they come out of the oil, better than Lays!!!

Darn right they are better than anything you can buy.
I was at a cooking store in Austin and asked if they have mandolins.
The snot nose kid working in there said they didn't sell musicale instruments.

Mine I dont know where it came from.
A friend of mine cut the end of his finger off with a big one shredding cabbage.

I have a Borner mandolin that is probably 40 years old and is like new. Over the years I have picked up 2 extras for change in thrift shops- I keep them just in case mine gets lost or something! Don't ever want to be without one.
