Default First little "greenies" of the year.

Yesterday I had my first little green tomato protruding from the blossom. It was a Kumato.

Followed today by one each of Yellow Out Red In and German Mammoth Gold.

They were planted the first week in May.

Now for the slow wait to ripen.

Greg - have you grown Kumato before? Is it an F2 (or later) seeds - I've never seen those seeds for sale anywhere...

I planted one plant from F2 seed just to see if the flavor would be any better from growing them at home, will see...

Regards,
D

I got the seeds in the fall or winter of 2008 and grew it in 2009. I grow quite a few varieties but only one plant of each vareity for 95% of them.
My one Kumato had just started fruiting when the the plant just up and died. I don't know why; was not blight.

I checked my records and my seed packet and all it has on the label is Kumato. I will see if I can check my seed source and get more info. Good luck on yours.
