I have a dozen plastic, 18 gallon containers. I have lots of problems with diseases. I was away for several days and when I returned the plants were not worth keeping.
QUESTION: Should I dump out the old soil mix and refill the bins with a fresh mix? |

It depends on what disease your plants had (if any). Also, are you sure it was a pest or disease and not some environmental problem such as soggy soil, spray drift from weedkiller, etc.? What caused the problem with the plants?

I believe it had spotty mildew, some sort of disease that made the leaves turn bright, neon green and wilt.
I mostly was using Dynamite, tomato fertilizer. I have a pH meter and that seemed to be between 6 and 7. |
