I know Carolyn will jump in here on this thread, but who else has grown this GWR (green when ripe) tomato??? I have seen this variety talked about, and I need to get feedback and seeds if the majority thinks it's worth the time...

Richard, if you think I'll jump in here just b'c you know I've grown it, you are wrong.

Nancy was one of my wonderful seed producers and yes, I was one of he first to grow it, and yes, I think it's one of the better GWRipes.

I read this thread, and reread, and thought . . . but no one has mentioned the name of the GWR tomato?

My aging brain did eventually figure it out.

Tomatoville version of "Who's on First" , sorta.

Richard I thought you sent me some Humph seeds years ago.
It must have been someone else.

I cant give any advise on any green tomatoes because they were either picked with no information as to what they were by someone else or they rotted on the vine because people didn't know about green when ripe.

I can say all of the ones I tried were good and productive humph among them.

Humph is my favorite GWR. I grew it last year and loved it. So I wanted to try more GWR varieties. This year I grew aunt ruby's german green, cherokee green, absinthe and green giant. In my opinion none of them were as good as Humph. The cherokee greens were second in taste, aunt ruby's was good but not as good, absinthe was just ok and green giant I didn't really care for.
