Default Electric Toothbrush Success stories...

Does anyone have any?
Do you feel it works?
At what point of bloom do you do it?
More than once?
Does anyone have any video to share either here or YouTube?

Thanks,

Greg

I use it in January on plants in the windowsill.
You get tomatoes but they are never as big as when bees do all the work.
I never do it on outdoor plants.
I have heard of people using leaf blowers but the funniest is the chainsaw without the chain.
Outdoors of course.

my micro tomatoes have ripening fruit. all i have done is give the stems a few taps
with my finger. black hungarian peppers also set fruit. once blossoms are fully
open should be good. quick taps over two or three days should be enough to set
fruit.

Can be useful. Particularly in a greenhouse imo. Shaking the plant works also. I Don’t buzz the actual bloom, touching the stem of the truss briefly is sufficient. A cheap battery electric Toothbrush does work as well as the very over priced instrument known as a veggie bee imo.
I use one also to collect pollen on a spoon for doing my crosses.

I have used an electric toothbrush before, primarily on early blossoms to try to get them to set fruit.'it seems once the plant gets going it isn't necessary. I do the same as you, when I do my daily walk through the garden, I flick all of the blossoms a few times with my finger. I have several quarter sized fruit on several of my early tomatoes. I don't know how much it helps, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't hurt anything.

Well I gave it a try. Rained heavy last night so I don’t know if that made a difference but I’d say about half spit out a little pollen. Don’t know if those flowers just opened up this morn or not but I guess I’ll do it every couple days or so.
I only have 20 plants this year so it’s not time consuming at all.
Plus I feel I have a little too much shade so hopefully this will help.

Thanks guys,

Greg
