Bruce, just love your pictures. I've got the one with Rosalia in it as my desk top at work - with a purple border
![]() It gets lots of attention!! Co-workers are amazed at the variety of tomatoes available.

Bruce, I love that picture too--everyone I showed it to was awestruck. Might be a different one though as I don't remember the 2 boxes at the bottom. How many toms do you grow to get that many all at once?
I know you have given info. on what you do to grow them in little tidbits here and there--wish you would do a website like Shelly and Roy in Texas and cover it all in detail. Love to hear about different techniques and see how people do things. farkee aka MsCowpea

PNW_D, glad you liked it and thanks for those seeds.
MsCowpea, I had about 60 plants going but some were poor producers and some produced none. 10-15 plants were dwarf plants and plants in containers. That was, by far, the largest harvest last year. I picked them all early in the morning because it was supposed to approach 100° that day. Laid them out for a photo and half were in the sun, half in the shade. I couldn’t get a good shot that way so had to wait ‘til the sun got a little higher for the photo. Almost cooked the lot right there on the patio. I was trying to get down to about 30 this year but it’s inched up to about 50 now. Doooh! I still have 15 quarts of sauce to wade through. Quote:
But, I can’t do that foolishness again. I can get at least 4 tomato plants in where those grew. ![]() ![]() |
