How many acres your dad has?
Columbine is my favorite flower. I have many varieties in my yard.
Do they get tornados in your dad's area?
I recommend a lightning rod to be installed on one of the roofs. Not very expensive.
Garage will be 180 degrees with no insulation and no ventilation.
Your kids look like each other and you.

Yep the kids will even have braces, like Mom. (my second go at them). You should see the Dad they REALLY look like him.
My Dad has @200 acres. Some of that is lease I believe from BLM. Water rights are what counts in that part of the world. My SMom went to the county and dug up the water rights for their place and reclaimed them8) That means that river you see in the back will have to dry up for them to have zero water.
My Dad and his wife have done ALL the construction of the home. They have a solar disc (like a sat dish) that turns with the sun. The floor has pipes in it that will be heated via the solar power. I am amazed that they have done it! My Dad is a Coal miner. He drives the Coal train into Utah to the powerplant. The locals think they are a pair of nuts LOL but are sitting back and waiting to see what happens. Edited to see if I could add that!

These big Sat dishes on this roof will be perfect to turn into solar dishes because they are parabolic dishes. They are all for free (For Real!).

About the size of a car. Whoever can take they down and truck them away. All yours.

I’m glad you had a good time and you also have some nice looking kids.

The hay bale buildings are nice too, but it brings up a sore spot with me and the Land owners association where I have some of my land for sale at.
What part of Colorado is this place at?

Also glad you didn’t break your neck on the 4 wheelers like the Oz did on his.

Hey Worth! This is in Western Colorado in an oil field town called Rangely. It was a bust when I was growing up and is in a current BOOM! The guys working up there are so plenty they have them in camps. Amazing really. At our High School you had to take Welding and or Auto Mech to graduate. I took Auto but I should of taken Welding. It was a good thing it was a bust or I never would of gone to college. People who worked at the coal mine have left to work in the patch. My Dad drives the coal train to Utah. He will retire soon. People with good regular paying jobs have left them to go to the field. Those booms never last long.

NOPE no way! Totally laughing thinking about it. It was SO not in the cards for me to go to the patch. Not that I am wimpy but gee whiz that is hard work!

Thanks for the link to your thread. I hadn't made it down that far yet since I was out of town. Beautiful land! I think that like you I wouldn't want to be that rural though in the winters. Even in the mountains here the roads stay pretty clear, because they are main roads, or roads going to ski resorts. I was surprised at the prices for homes in the Grand ★★★★★★★★ area. I expected them to be lower. They must have had a boom in the housing market just like we have here in Utah. The prices in St. George tripled in a couple of years and our home value has increased about 15-20% a year the last 2 years. We are about an hour south of Salt Lake City. We won't move now because upgrading to a larger home and more land is too expensive, even with all of our equity. If you ever take I-15 you'll have to get in touch and you can stop and have lunch at my house on your way through.
