You were my inspiration!
My thanks to Carolyn Male and her wonderful book that opened up a whole new world to me.
My thanks also to Craig LeHoullier and his patient advice, Thomas Matkey for the best cage design I've ever seen, Mary-Anne Durkee for her solutions to every problem under the sun, and all of you on this board and on other tomato websites. All of your help resulted in the formation of FOHL -- Fruit of the Heir Loom -- and the following article that appeared yesterday in the Sacramento Bee. http://www.sacbee.com/165/story/387619.html Thanks to this article, and the interviews I conducted, about five group members ran out over the past week and bought Carolyn's bible. That includes the Bee reporter. She just loves it. You'll notice that the website for Tomato Mania is listed in this article -- so you might find yourselves with some new members. Bill Sacramento, CA

**** And thank you for that Bill. I've been interviewed a couple of times by sacbee and both times it was a very nice man but I can't remember his name. Very nice article but my heavens there are quite a few great places for buying tomato seed that were left out. Most of those places are all purpose veggie/fruit/flower places but not the specialty places that most folks here use for tomato seed. Ah well, you're getting the message out and that's what counts. Does that T-shirt come in 1X or 2X? I like them loose.

**** I sure do know all about spinal stenosis which you probably knew if you were brave enough to read my ongoing medical exploits and that thread was started by someone else. I'm just about thru with another month and a half bout of it which meant no outpatient PT for the right hip/fractured femur b'c when one is bent over at a 90 degree angle getting out to the car and all that jazz is not possible. All well, me fingers work .

"""""I'm just about thru with another month and a half bout of it which meant no outpatient PT for the right hip/fractured femur b'c when one is bent over at a 90 degree angle getting out to the car and all that jazz is not possible.""""
Carolyn not trying to side swipe the thread but I can tell you I have had to watch my wife for the last two years bent over like that because of the tumor that was next to her spine. Some times I want to try and straiten her out myself. I know it would be stupid do so. In some sort of way at least I can see what you are going through. She is getting better. ************************************************** ****************** I do wish they would have put up more links to tomato seed suppliers than they did but it is nice to see the new members coming on board. I have TWENTY new members to the group thanks to that newspaper article! More continue to roll in. We could be up to 100 or more next spring if this keeps up.
