Default What you get for free

I got some free seed in one of my orders this year. Sweet banana peppers. Not a big fan of banana peppers but what the heck, I planted them. 10 seeds planted. 8 germinated. I kept 3 and gave 5 to a friend. So I have 1 banana pepper plant and 2 of these mystery peppers. My friend has 3 bananas and 2 mysteries. Any ideas what these could be?

I got a package of free banana peppers this year, too, and now I'm kinda glad I didn't bother.

The leaves look like an annuum, so I would guess it's one of the cherry varieties. It's oriented down, so Cherry Bomb if it's hot, and Cherry sweet if it's sweet. maybe?

I've got two Sweet Red Cherry plants this year, and they don't look like that. Maybe "Cherry Bomb"

Thanks folks. I sort of perused the pepper section where I got the free seeds from and didn't see anything that matched the description. I guess I'll find out soon enough

Didnt get any free seeds, but I LOVE sweet Banana peppers.
If you let them ripen to a nice orange or red, they are sweet, and yummy

I hope these little ones turn out to be sweets of some sort. I have so many hot peppers at this point and I'm not even a hot pepper eater LoL
I just can't stand to see seeds go to waste

Barbee, not an anwer to your question, but some of our jalapenos seeds were strew around by the husband and those look much like what you have; ours are sweet. Who would have guessed? We didn't have jalapenos near any sweet peppers so it is a mystery. If nothing else, you can pickle them

I never thought about pickling these peppers I have!
OK, now I just need to find a good pickled pepper recipe.
Thanks!

My pleasure, Barbee, I pickle whatever doesn't stand still. I am not saying that anything tastes worth a darn, but sometimes I surprise myself and have something great.
