Sue -- We might just have to do that. I've never entered anything before, but surely we can do better than that!

Worth -- Careful ... your honorary AK citizenship may be revoked on very short notice!

Rena -- It did make me want to run home and grab something off the counter and take it back and make a quick exchange!

Jeanne -- The giant cabbage weigh-off is Friday. We really should have waited till then to go, but it was a beautiful day today and being mid-week the crowds weren't too bad.

There will be a second round of entries tomorrow I think. I'm not sure if that's how it's done everywhere, but here there are two. I don't really know, but I suppose there are ribbons awarded each time. There were a couple more tomatoes on display, including a 'Silver Fir' and some Sun Gold. I just had to snap a shot of the pitiful little "red tomato" though. It made me feel sad.

Just wait till next year when Sue and I sweep the tomato category!

I thought that too. Maybe it was the only one entered.

I'm sure it will be a different story next year.

Well, I really don't know why it's so small. Maybe it was the runt of the litter! Maybe they ate all the big ones. Maybe there was a special award for the smallest tomato!

A friend of mine took the award for the smallest pecans in Texas one year.
Can you buy that, 'a Texan bragging about the SMALLEST PECAN.

No worries Sherry, I wont dog them too much and I have showed them your place on the Tomatoville site they all thought it was nice.

Now what to do about that dog of Sue's sister.

Thats a real sourdough of a dog if I ever saw one.

Now, now Worth. That doggie is semi-okay. Next year Sherry and I will be the "High Priestesses" of the tomato catagory at the state fair so you better learn to talk to us like we are already! Just wait and see. I haven't been to the fair yet this year but I am wondering if there is any rosemary entered? Maybe I will enter that Texan stuff if it survives this winter.
