One of my favorites. It does have somewhat scant, wispy foliage, so could possibly benefit from more than one stem growth. I aim for two stems on all my tomatoes.

I just picked a ripe Purple Russian a few minutes ago and brought it in to sample. The fruit is roughly 3.5 inches long oval druplet shape with green shoulders. It tends to form vertical stripes just as the fruit ripens. Fruit is dark red/bronze with excellent flavor. It is not a paste type though it has the typical shape of paste tomatoes.
Here it is in a pic with some cherry tomatoes and a ripe Orange Bell pepper to give size, shape, and color comparison. http://www.selectedplants.com/garden...le.Russian.jpg |
