Dude, you gotta let them ripen. They taste better.

Or do you have a contract for green peppers?

The Hatch Valley is in the Rio Grande Valley. I'm in the Rio Grande Valle, north of Hatch about 180 miles.

Mmmm. Are there too many 'L's in there? Or not enough 'Y's?

I thought you were in NY city. Isn't that where they make all the great salsas?

I remember those commercials.

Thanks for the link and the information about Hatch chiles. I had been trying to find one specifically named Hatch.

Yes it was the Pace commercials absolutely the most disgusting sauce ever made I dont care if it was made in Texas.
Lordy that stuff is nasty.

Ketchup with peppers in it, what an embarrassment to Texas.

BITE YOUR TONGUE YOU REPROBATE!!

I personally keep Pace in business (or try to). Is Original Hot a great salsa? Heck no. Is it good enough for some purposes, like guacamole, chips in front of the TV? Heck yes. And it used to be that you couldn't buy anything else in the supermarket.

dustdevil, Starlight, the original commercials had "New Jersey !?!" instead of NYC. Somehow I have always found that funnier. You can find them on youtube, but the resolution is abysmal. There was a whole series of Pace commercials, many of which I'd forgotten.

In all honesty I think you may be a little heavy on the tomatoes for a good salsa.
You dont want to wash out the peppers flavor.
